Great write-up on Trefethen! I was a member of the wine club for many years before I moved to the abyss that is Pennsylvania (they put the 'control' into 'Control State'). I used to live in Sausalito and would make my way up to the tasting room quite often. What I particularly enjoyed about Trefethen is that while they approached wine making very seriously, they did not take themselves that way at all. Are they still as quirky and carefree?

I did the virtual tasting also and I pretty much agree with your comments. However, although they didn't spend much time with the 20 year port, it was superb. there was so much going on with this porto. It had a never ending finish. There were so many flavors going on both in my mouth and with the aroma. For all that was going on with this 20 year baby, the price is really cheap. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents.
